Happy Birthday Yana!

Today is a day worthy of great celebration.... it is the birthday of the wonderful, beautiful, inspiring, adventurous, spontaneous, loving, brilliant, virtuous Yana! 

    
     I will always remember the day that when I met Yana for the first time. We had flown out to California for the big day but because of the natural chaos of weddings, we really didn't get much time to spend with her. She later came to Atlanta to visit and we got to know her a little better. When I was younger, I thought, for some reason that my uncle Daniel would marry a short, petite, blonde girl with blue eyes and long blonde wavy curls. For anyone who knows Yana, she does not fit that check list. Yana is tall and slender, but the model-esque type of tall. She did have lighter hair but recently has converted to the dark side, thanks to my persuasion and hair coloring abilities. Her eyes are not blue but they are a fierce, piercing green.

      I admire the fact that she is honest and frank. There is no sugar-coating or covering of the truth. She has definitely pushed me to fight for the right thing and taught me that sometimes people do need to hear at least a piece of the truth. She is fierce without a doubt. The kind of fierce that Tyra Banks would probably be jealous of.

      The most wonderful thing about this woman is that she a wonderful wife. Her and Dan have such a great marriage and simply watching them will show you what marriage is all about. They are each others rock and support. They are dynamic when apart and unstoppable when together. 

All in all, Happy Birthday Yana! I love you so much and love how close we have gotten over the past few months. There's only better things to come.
