Now, anyone who knows me knows that I have been obsessed with Pompeii since I was a little girl. I used to read the Magic Tree house book series religiously and one to the journeys I was able to take through that series was one to the ancient town of Pompeii. Pompeii used to be a town full of riches, commerce and the elite. The people there lived elaborate lives: big palaces and numerous bath and spa business centers. Also there? An acceptance of brothels and prostitution. Prostitution was not frowned upon and neither was much else, morals were not much of a concern to Pompeii.
Despite Pompeii's legacy and ruthless destruction, the remains of the city are still beautiful. The white columns and stone buildings still stand loud and proud, echoing the glories of a once glamourous city. It was incredible to be able to walk through the city. The remains of the citizens still bring gloom and shock. Their faces still clearly show trembling fear, who could imagine their life ended by pounds of ash and burning lava?
Next stop, was our hotel, which was quite charming and beautiful. The town is full of color and the people are some of the sweetest I met. Even though it rained, the beauty of the city could not be covered.
specifically known for its Limoncello production and intricate sandals, hand made by artisans. Nothing beats handstiched sandals and Swarovski crystals. Capri is definitely one place I will one day come back to.
